Welcome to Verbal Notes!

Verbal Notes wants to be a Digital Meeting Place for Practitioners and Students dealing with Diplomacy, Defense, Development and Humanitarian Action.

It is a living project and will adapt according to current events and the priorities expressed by those of you sharing your interests. Please bear with me on possible glitches, in particular at this very early stage.

The focus of the posts will be on Global Governance as the place where all major challenges and opportunities should be addressed. AI and its impact on, well, Humanity, will also be a central feature.

Initially, there will be 4 substantive sections:

·       Books&More: with notes on different published books, as well as recommendations on films, series, podcasts, comics, and other potential formats related to our topics.

·       Non Papers: This double Oxymoron (Non Papers!? from Verbal Notes!?) includes more personal reflections and rumblings mostly about Diplomacy, also Defense, Development, and what not.

·      The Digest: A curated selection of articles mostly from Think Tanks and Academia. Links to original publications will be included.

·       By Invitation: Contributions by colleagues who may be interested in sharing their views on these topics.
